Working with the Cucalorus Film Foundation has given me a real love for festivals and creative events. It has become a dream of mine to work with film festivals around the world in the future and concurrently work on my own films, as one day I'd love to DP and direct.

I'm the only person my age I know who watches broadcast news often.  Over the years I've become the source of news for my friends.  They've told me that the way I explain it to them makes them understand better than mainstream news has done before.  What I love about this is watching my friends' process of understanding the world through asking me questions and together, working through today's news.  My curiosity about how things work has merged with my artistic side and my goal is now to work in broadcasting.  I also have my experiences with social media work and am really interested in how I can use that in my future work as well.

I love traveling and have been lucky enough to go to Italy and Croatia through UNCW's study abroad programs.  Because of those experiences, I am a Student Study Abroad Ambassador for our department and have been loving it.  Looking toward the future, I'd love to travel so much more and possibly go to graduate school for philosophy as it is a dream of mine to continue my studies.
